is one of the most frequently asked questions.
Choosing what color to paint walls may seem easy but it is this decision that is causing a lot of people difficulty because of the thousands of paint colors to choose from.
The proper color can turn the meekest room in to an absolutely gorgeous room.
The Home Stylist will mail the specific paint chips and an explanation of those choices directly to your home (so that you can even tape the swatch to your wall if you want).
- Detailed Color Palette Consultation: $49 per room
A quick view color palette consultation is also available. This consultation is done completely over the internet. You simply follow the regular color palette consultation but once you complete the questionnaire, just scan it and send it along with photos in jpeg by e-mail. I will then send you back two photos of your room painted in recommended colors. This technique is similar to the color poll section of this website. This consultation is usually completed in 2 business days. Paypal only.

This furniture arrangement or shopping consultation is ideal for people who have not changed
their furniture arrangement in years
or don’t know what additional furniture to purchase for their room.
A proper arrangement can increase the function of the room while emphasizing its best features.
You will provide detailed measurements of the room and its furnishings.
The Home Stylist will mail not just one floor plan but 2 room lay-out choices (or more). All you will need to do is follow the floor plan and recommendations.
Also available for purchase are furniture sliders. These are the interior redesigners’ trade secret to make furniture arranging easy. They are the only way to move furniture. Please specify wood or carpet floors.

The problem with a large percentage of DIY projects not meeting expectations is the homeowner stopped after the new furniture and wall paint. The finishing touches and accessories are what pulls the whole look together and makes the room cohesive and complete.
The Home Stylist will provide you with specific suggestions and images of artwork, pillows, lamps, and accessories for your room. You can use these images to purchase similar items in your price range or in some cases I can include the vendor name and approximate retail price.

The Process - otherwise known as "Sounds great but how in the heck do I do this?"
The key to online decorating is that you, the homeowner, need to provide specific information and photographs to The Home Stylist. The process is simple:
- Choose a decorating consultation that best meets you needs. Payment and Check out is in our "The Style Store"
- You will complete the basic information and payment option form. Paypal is the preferred payment method because it is safe and secure for both of us.
- An e-mail will be sent to you that includes a link to the decorating consultation form. Download these forms and print them.
- Complete the decorating consultation forms and take the requested photos.
This is where you do some of the work to save money. This detailed questionnaire helps to insure the decorating plan is individualized for your home and your style. Photos are needed to make sure I can give you accurate advice. Regular photos can be developed and mailed to me with your packet or digital photos can be e-mailed.
- Mail the completed forms and photos to The Home Stylist address provided on the consultation forms. Within about a week to 10 days of The Home Stylist receiving your completed packet, you will be mailed your new decorating plans!
- I do not withdrawn Paypal money until the completed packet is on its way back to you.
(The e-mail that is sent to you with the forms is set up to automatically sent it to you but as you may know, sometimes automatic systems are not...so please e-mail me if you did not get the forms)
