Mr. and Mrs. C from Texas purchased an online decorating consultation to help them make their living room more comfortable. They specifically wanted a ‘wow’ look but not over the top. They took measurements of the room and furniture and send them along with photos of the room.

    • Specified the order in which to implement the decorating plan so as time and budget permit the critical elements are done first.
    • Designed several room layouts to maximize the room’s features and give Mr. and Mrs. C choices and flexibility.
    • Provided specific suggestions on the size and type of accessories needed to give the room a finished look. This included web stores and local
       merchandise.
    • Made specific suggestion of lighting and lamps for the lighting plan.

Total cost of project: Around $1,500 (not including labor)

"I wanted "wow", but not over the top and that is exactly what you gave us!

It is like walking into a different room, and it’s very feng shui…the first floorplan is the one we liked the best..Ken was not sure about the angle at first, but once we got everything moved around, he loves it!!!  It’s very warm and welcoming..it makes you feel good upon entering this room..We will send pics as soon as we have it completed, that might take a couple of weeks…love the fact we can do it on our own time and budget…I’ve had bids as high as $14,000 for this room…not in my lifetime!

 The online process was very easy, love, love it!!  We will be taking pics and measurements of the dining room and kitchen for you next!

    • Made professional suggestion based on the family’s interests, hobbies and allergies to wool.

When Vicky, a single mom of two teenagers, passed away of cancer; the estate had very little money due to the medical bills. The proceeds of selling the house was needed to put the teens through college. The real estate agent and executor/family friend knew that getting a professional home staging consultation would be helpful.

    • Shopped for specific items such as light fixtures, flooring and paint colors reflecting the style and tastes of potential buyers.
    • Brought in additional accessories on loan to polish off the look.
    • Family friends did the labor of painting, switching out light fixtures and clearing the clutter.

Total cost of project: Less than $2,000 (not including labor)

Results

The house had competed offers and sold in one week over the asking price. (The oldest teen is now in college)
